East Football Family,

It’s hard to believe we have been building together for three months. As I said in that first letter, we would not be counting the days but making the days count. There is absolutely no question that we have done just that. The players and the program have made tremendous strides in this time. However, this is just the first coat of paint! We are not satisfied or complacent with what we have accomplished. The process of molding our team into a brand of tough and physical football players is still under construction, but we are ahead of schedule!

We are looking forward to some important upcoming events:
*The Colby Umbrell Walk (Saturday May 8th 9-11am)
*10 straight weekends of car washes
*Mini Camp

Our support of the Colby Walk is flat out the right thing to be a part of because Colby is still a part of this program (Once a Patriot, always a Patriot). See Connor Bednarzyk during lunch next week or go to Colby Umbrell.com to donate. We all need to show our PATRIOT PRIDE!

It is vital that you attend the car wash you are scheduled to work. We need to represent our school, the team, your family, and yourself in the best light possible when we are out in the community. Remember all of the money we raise directly impacts you and the program. Do a great job!

Mini camp is right around the corner. All of the dates are listed on cbeastfootball.org. Day #1 of camp is Sunday May 23rd from 4-6 at East. Be sure to have a pair of cleats (you will need two pair for the season – black). A sales rep from Bethlehem Sporting Goods will visit us on May 13 to introduce us to great pricing on cleats and gear….More to follow. Camp will conclude on Sunday June 6th with the Inaugural Blue-White Pass Rush Challenge and 7 on 7 at War Memorial Stadium from 4-6pm.

Finally, I want to thank the East Football Family for their support over the past few weeks with the nonsense in the paper. The players don’t deserve it having endured enough drama over the last year. I told them that we will simply use this to drive us.

The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges – Martin Luther King, Jr.

With each workout, remember all of this and do it with EAST SIDE PRIDE!
